Am I doing something wrong? I search communities with key word weather and find no communities with over a few to maybe a dozen subscribers.
I want to ask for advice on a good Android weather widget. ‘Ask Android’ is a community I will place a question on but naturally the best place would be ‘Android Apps’ which is a ghost town and weather communities are also like ghost towns.
Are there communities out there that I’m not seeing somehow? Please help?!
I don’t want to use Reddit but may have to on some of these niche communities due to sparse activity.
Discovery on Lemmy is still in its infancy. Lots of friction. When you do a search for a community, you’re only searching your home instance, so if your home instance is never been subscribed or connected to those other communities they won’t be returned in your search. So that’s something that’s going to have to improve to make Lemmy more general user friendly
