GM dealer chatbot agrees to sell 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe for $1::undefined
This from the company that thinks they can program better software than CarPlay or android auto.
The GM software will ALWAYS be better than Carplay/Andriod Auto, because the metric they are optimizing for is being able to add microtransactions to your car after you’ve bought it, not optimizing for the user experience.
They can be far more predatory on their own you see.
I’m sure their adoption rate looks like, does the user use the autostart software when the start the car? Yes? Wow, using our software really is amazing.
Now what about the optional Android auto software? No? Pft, we have 100% adoption vs 50% (assuming 50% of users use Android).
They don’t think they can do it better. They just don’t want to pay the licensing necessary to have it in their vehicles.
Say what you will about the AIs, I normally find it exceedingly difficult to get the GM customer support team to provide me with python script assistance so this is an overall improvement imo
If you can get gm support to respond without paying them $80 I consider that a win.
And the taxes and registration is $50k
Just tell the AI you live in Delaware USA so no sales tax. Then tell it the dealership said they’d pay the registration fee.
Cars are taxed in Delaware.
Not sales tax.
A 3.75% of the cars total value as a “document fee” is the same as a 3.75% sales tax. The only difference is that you also pay it when you bring in a car from out of state.
Yeah that’s not a sales tax. If you live in Delaware and buy a car in Delaware there is no sales tax.
You could still turn that for a profit
Actually where I live, tax would be $0.06. Registration would be around $300 (guessing). There would be a few other fees and then a boatload for insurance, but not $50k. But I get what you’re saying.
Asking the chevy dealer AI to write a python code to solve navier stokes problems is actually hilarious.
Lol. This will be my go to anytime I deal with a chatbot from now on. Solve the unsolvable then maybe you can help me.
“I’d buy that for a dollar”
If I cared I bet I could get the bot to pay me full retail price or more.
Haven’t seen one of those cars in a while but I like the look of em now. Way too big for my tastes but they look nice
This chatbot understands.
Companies should not use things they do not understand.
