About 12 years ago my wife was working full time teaching and applied for life insurance, $100 a month for x number of dollars should she die, and a part that converted to cash after 20 years. The company didn’t want to insure her without her husbands income reviewed, in case she lost her job. She flipped shit, and they accepted it as it was.

There was no risk to them, if she lost her job and quit paying they’d just not have to insure her.
