What happens to the hydrogen that escapes into space?

The solar radiation (sunlight) slowly accelerates most of it, until it leaves the solar system, more or less.

So in theory some of the air I have breathed is on its way into deep space. That’s a fun thought

Yes, but a very very small amount. Most hydrogen gets recombined with oxygen (or nitrogen or carbon) before it escapes, and is too heavy to escape as a water molecule or similar.
