Harry Enten, CNN Chief Data Analyst: The one who has the lowest rating among Democrats is, in fact, Chuck Schumer. Look at this. He’s under water with Democrats. His own party, he’s underwater. He’s at minus four points. That makes him the least popular guy for a Dem Senate leader going all the way back since the mid-1980s at least.
Funny all the anti-Schumer hate coming out after eight other people crossed the aisle.
Look at where the push is coming from.
Pure astroturf.
Schumer is getting hate because as the Senate Leader for the Dems, it’s literally his job to whip his caucus. Meaning he either colluded with the 8 to end the shutdown without securing ACA funding, or he is entirely ineffective at his one fucking job.
If it wasn’t a coordinated effort by Chuck Schumer and the 8 rotating villains (which are all not up for re-election, what a crazy coincidence), which is the most likely, then it goes to show how completely ineffective Schumer is at his job. Either way, they all need to go.
This is not Astroturf, this is grassroots frustration. Do you have any idea how many people are going to have skyrocketed heath insurance premiums, as in needing to pay more than double come the end of this year, because of this spineless capitulation that gained nothing but disdain for the Democratic party?
As a New Yorker, I’ve considered him a shill since at least the start of this year.
