Keychron K4v2, put some LSA Keychron Developer caps on it. Required a little modification to shave down the stabs but I like the look, now I just need to fix the sound since the reduced mass of the cap leaves some snap back ping on larger keys.
Tell me more about this screen setup
It’s primarily used in audio/video from my experience. They’re quite expensive, or they were when I last interacted with them: https://www.rossvideo.com/control-systems/routing-control/ultritouch/
expensive is relative, but yes they are not a consumer product, they are however much less expensive than many broadcast router control panels, because as we know switches (buttons) cost $$$$.
Agreed, I meant expensive for personal use. Everything in the AV space is pretty hard on the wallet :)
yeah I don’t recommend buying anything AV/Broadcast for personal use. If you need it for work then get work to pay for it (even if you just run it through a personal LLC)
I’ve just learned that no matter how “happy” I am that I’m gonna want to mix the cap situation up within a year. So I just never stop watching for that next cool cap set.
yeah I probably swap sets about once a year. Its been a while since I got a new set so generally I just rotate through my current collection.
This however was a new set because I dont have anything quite like it.
Here are some of the other sets that go in and out of use :)
Oh nice. You put low profile keycaps in the k4? Are the switches low profile too? I didn’t realize you could turn a normal board low profile.
no, sadly low profile switches dont fit the same socket. this looks slick but its not low profile when compared to an actual low profile keyboard.
