Thank you for posting. Been thinking of adding similar threads myself but always end up getting distracted with something else. Will take your lead and see how it goes with my next movie.

I considered this movie when it came out but with so much amazing content and mid-reviews I ended up passing on it at the time.

The short film it was based on (link below) was a lot more concise and powerful, in my opinion. I liked some of the world building in the 2017 film like the suicide kits distributed by the government, but to me it ultimately felt like a short story that went on too long after having seen the original.

I see what you mean. That short is very good. Direct and too the point. No frame wasted.

I felt sad at the end, but didn’t really have much to think about after the film. There were some really terrible non-logical plot choices that had me mentally screaming at the screen…

      Tap for spoiler

Finding the teacher, who had food, and shelter, and not leaving the baby with her, just had me so confused. The absolute logical choice would have been to leave the baby with the uninfected adult who had food shelter and access to a community!!! Walking off into the wilderness with less then 24 hours left on the clock to “find someone to take care of a baby” is insane. They should have at least talked about it.
