Pretty dramatic how Ireland is <1% while the UK is 8%.
Dublin really is the most boring city in Europe.
I find the difference between Spain and Portugal most striking.
People are probably not going to mainland Spain but to the smaller islands like Mallorca and Tenerife
Even if they go to the mainland, they usually go to mediterraan areas, to the beach.
I find this funny as im from the US and like to vacation in nordic countries. Sweden and Iceland so far. Still need to get to Norway to see the Fjords, I hear someone got an award for those.
Why is it that so many people go to Thailand out of all the possible Asian countries? What’s so special about Thailand? Genuinely curious, I’ve had many friends and colleagues who went.
EDIT: Any answer that isn’t just sex and drugs? I’ve heard of families going with their kids. What draws them? Is it just low prices?
Safe and cheap, Asian culture, food, scenery and climate.
Other options in the area are less welcoming to tourists.
Thailand is also pretty huge. You can have a vastly different holiday in Phuket, Bangkok or Chian Mai. A friend recently had a 1.5month trip to SEA and ended up spending the entirety just in Thailand since it’s so massive
According to Wikipedia in Norway ~ 0.4 % of people are Thai not counting those of Thai descent without citizenship. Which makes it a quite large immigrant group.
What makes you think my kids don’t also like sex and drugs?

Aren’t both correct depending if it is US or UK English?
Well, yes, but actually, one is in correct English and one is in USA English
