This server will be up for a month (Oct21-Nov21), it’s hosted on a game hosting service. I trust everyone here to be nice, but if there is a problem @ me, and we can revert a save.
The server admin (me) will be able to see your factorio username, and your ip address.

No, distributing the state of the map across the participants gives us resilience against any issues from bugs, server issues, or griefers.
I like to join, but I have a strict “solo first” rule with games. I will come back as soon as I’m done!

Using AleForge for the hosting, first time I tried them out. They said they accept crypto, sadly it’s through bitpay which requires so much KYC (biometrics + passport) they might as well not advertise crypto at all. Hopefully they can sort out their crypto payment pipeline going forward.
8GiB ram, NVMe 25GiB, San Jose, 4 vCPUS
User verification is not enabled, so unless it becomes a problem, any local lan copies of the game you might have should be able to connect no problems.
