Christianity Was Always for the Poor (David B. Hart, Jacobin)
Yes. Or, as I have often said, and find myself saying even more often, Christianity is simply incoherent when mixed with power.
Surprisingly great article.
In point of fact, the New Testament, alarmingly enough, condemns personal wealth not merely as a moral danger, but as an intrinsic evil. Actually, the texts are so unambiguous on this matter that it requires an almost heroic defiance of the obvious to fail to grasp their import.
Religion is a bane to the progress of humanity.
Humans are perfectly capable of hindering their own progress without needing to involve religion whatsoever.
I’d love to test your statement. First, we’ll have to get rid of all religions…
what’s up with atheists acting like the Kool-Aid man in spaces where nobody asked your opinion?
Christianity Was Always for the elite maintaining control over the poor.
FTFY!
You obviously didn’t read the article.
You mean religious propaganda? No I did not
Never read things from outside your bubble, you’re right. It’s the best way to feel very smart.
No, sorry. The best way to feel very smart is to comment on things you didn’t read from outside your bubble.
