    Min Aung Hlaing, who needed Beijing’s support to end armed conflicts in northern Shan State, handed his old friends over to China in Naypyitaw.

    Clearly the loyalty demonstrated is strictly self interest.

    That is both a tremendous amount of money and not enough money to justify the human suffering. But more importantly is the BGF being a proxy worth the 50% cut?

      It’s way bigger cut than I thought. It also explains why Min Aung Hlaing didn’t budge at first when China pressured him to clean up the scam centers. Chinese are pressuring all the countries in Southeast Asia where the scam centers are operating from. You see this being cleaned up in Indonesia Philippines etc.
