a strange part of me wants to see this go as badly as possible because that’s how much I hate Donald Trump and all of the Americans who voted for him and the ones who didn’t vote. but that’s me being an angry psychopath right? I shouldn’t feel this way or want these things. they’re really bad

I have full confidence that the US Military could take Greenland, I don’t have confidence that the US could deal with the international fallout that would come from it.

That depends. Has Russia started a land war across the entire Eastern front at the same time?

Then it might be a bit tough for Europe to do anything about Greenland. It’s almost like the whole ‘we need to take Canada’ rhetoric is pre-emptive, knowing Canada would be the most dangerous remaining opponent to such a plan, should Europe be busy… for some reason. Take Canada and Greenland at roughly the same time. Tie them down while Europe is busy. The US ends up owning Greenland. And, if things fall out wrong, Canada, too - though it might not be a primary goal.

From that point, Russia and the US divide Europe between them.

Is this an insane plan? Yep. Would it work? Doubtful. Is it the potential thinking of the fascist dickheads in charge, despite that? I suspect so.

Does Russia have enough male population left to fight a big war? They’ve killed off a good chunk of them in Ukraine already.

I would like to believe not that the worst happens to the USA, because of the damage that could do globally. But, I do hope that if Trump tried to take Greenland unprovoked that the citizens would not stand for it.

A hope that is quickly dwindling…

there’s nothing that makes me think that anyone would stop him. The entire path of the country would simply shift indefinitely, as per the principles of democracy

I’m in a similar boat. I hate that these people have turned me into someone who has such disdain and hatred for individuals. I hate that they’ve made me into someone who wakes up everyday with a deep-seated desire to read about their deaths.

I fucking hate it. I don’t want to be that person.

I’ve developed misanthropic tendencies over the last couple of years.

I find this lyric sums it up pretty well

“I used to see beauty in people But now I see muscle and bones”
