As an American, yeah that’s what gets me. I just don’t understand it and I hate it

Because he wasn’t president then. Eisenhower led troops as did Grant
I want juries to, but I’d really rather not be on those juries. I feel like I’d need therapy after seeing those videos
Ew, why would they party with him?
Also it’s important to note that NOAA is often used for military purposes. Four of our six military branches (Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and the Space Force whatever they do) absolutely and unequivocally depend on their data to do their job, one just relies on it, and the sixth hitches rides on navy equipment.
I’m not the biggest fan of the military industrial complex, but if the oceanic and atmospheric arm of one of the world’s most significant consumers of mined hydrocarbons has been sounding the alarm bells for decades I have every reason to believe them
Guerrilla planting it it is. Why shouldn’t vacant lots have a few of them
It’s Sydney Powell. She was one of trump’s most infamous lawyers
I like Garuda, but as someone who started with it it’s a maybe for a first distro. It’s beginner friendly except when it isn’t.
You aren’t alone, I’ve never heard of it either. Though it sounds like something worth planting
I plan to compost mine. Meat of any variety would upset my stomach
You’re not alone, I love artificial grape
Cactus would love the Pangean interior
It very much confirms my understanding that psychedelics are best taken as a community drug
There’s a solution and it’s standardized bottles. And I have seen it implemented in a place I never expected: Kentucky. They have growlers (large glass containers with screw top lids) of standard sizes that are in common enough usage for beer that many shops offer a tap to fill it with beer and charge based on it. It’s one of the things I wish was more common elsewhere.
And as for metering, offer a price per unit mass (show mass of a glass) and weigh fill weigh pay.
I’d argue the panic begins with the whole being strapped down to die against their will thing
I apologize if I implied they should cooperate. Cooperation is necessary for the painlessness. But I believe they have the right to fight to their dying moment and that it is laudable to do so
Exactly, also systemic change will have individual consequences. By bearing them early we demonstrate that these burdens are smaller than often imagined.
I love the taste of meat. I struggled to imagine a life without it. I have been a pescatarian now for nearly 3 years. It’s inconvenient at times, but not as much as it once was. Seafood is a treat for me, and I imagine many people can live with meat like that. I am healthier, and I am happy with my choice. By making systemic changes to food people will eat less meat, but while the transition will be uncomfortable, the end result won’t be nearly as bad as they fear.
Some people like sex, others don’t. People with autism/adhd often find ourselves in positions where we’re comfortable violating social norms, whether that’s deciding that you’d actually rather spend all your time on electrical engineering and pigeons instead of having a family, or being a bum who can’t stick with a job long enough to have consistent housing but also lacks the impulse control to not pursue all the sex they want.
Have an app mode and desktop mode akin to the steam deck. It’s so nice
As an American I think it’s largely that we generally suck at dealing with negative emotions. For many that means bottling it up and being kind anyways, but we have the assholes and you learn to walk away, or clap back, or whatever works for you and they just get angrier at being dismissed. They aren’t mad at you, they just suck and we’re bad at helping people not suck, especially since they tend to love guns
