No worries I get it, that’s all too easy to do nowadays lol

I guess that’s up to whatever process is used by municipalities to decide between vendors, and would encourage you to persuade your local government not to do this should they consider this strategy.
I dunno man. There are no perfect solutions for dealing with plastic waste at the moment. Until we have one, there are worse ways to go about handling it.

Not sure there are any “safe” options tbh but I’d rather it serve some purpose if it’s just going to break down either way, for sure.

The article probably is and I’m not pretending to be an expert. Just saying in theory this could be useful ¯\(ツ)/¯
I’m against plastic use where possible, but don’t see a problem in putting what we already have to work if the alternative is to just let it fall apart on its own somewhere else. If we’re going to drown in this stuff might at least get some usefulness out of it.

Those are already a thing. This is a proposal to make some use of this already present reality.
PNW has been experimenting with a version of this for a while involving old tires. Rather than let them continue to disintegrate in a landfill somewhere, adding them to newer roads allows the road to withstand freezing weather much better, reducing the need for carbon emitting repairs, increasing road lifespan (and therefore tire lifespan, which in turn reduces microplastic shedding by tires), and gives a second useful life to the plastics we already have.

It’s already shredding naturally. At least this process contains it for longer than it otherwise would, potentially reduces more shedding from tires, and gives it some purposeful existence while we come up with better ideas.
Better than just letting it rot somewhere, right? At least, that’s my take. Maybe it’s wrong, but it’s not the worst idea I’ve ever heard.
performance isn’t really my main concern with DB.
Yes I was using the db implementation but didn’t know there was a MD mode, that’s nice! Might give it another go.
You’re right, you can use logseq without a db. Nice!
There is a version that uses SQLite which is what I was using, it seems like that’s required for certain features like db graphs, so a bit of a bummer:
https://github.com/logseq/logseq?tab=readme-ov-file#-database-version

lol what a baby
Yep same reason here. I use git for backup and sync, if my notes are in a db I can’t easily do that.
In addition to those benefits, I’d like for my information to outlive the tool I’m using to manage it, which is less likely when using something db-centric.
I was so impressed by logseq……until I realized my files are all managed in a database. Obsidian just saves your notes as basic markdown files. That ended up being a big enough reason to go back.
If that’s not a big deal to you, absolutely logseq 100%.
They don’t do much of anything when they are in power, that’s the problem. Much of this blame can be placed on Chuck.
Example:
They controlled the House, Senate and Presidency in 2021, Chuck Schumer was Senate Majority Leader, and still didn’t grant Dreamers legal status because a Senate Parliamentarian, a position with zero actual power, said they couldn’t.
This was one of their campaign promises and when they had the opportunity to do it, they backed out at the last second.
When they do have power, Democrats do not wield it.

I simply asked for an overall count of how many versions, altogether. All years, all revisions, all models, simply count and give me a number, how many?
I gave you that, cited my sources, explained why the number given wasn’t more accurate, and what you should do about it if it still isn’t up to your standards.
What more do you want???
And yes, there are that many versions. That’s why it’s so difficult to give you a simple number. The DS was in production for almost 20 years. A fuckton of versions were released. That’s why your best bet at a 100% correct number is probably Nintendo themselves, because when you consider it was also a global device with region-specific models the actual count gets even more difficult for any one person on the Internet to find.
As evidenced by my many sources of people attempting to find this answer, it’s hard as hell to do. If you’re still unsatisfied, go to the people that made them and quit raging at anons who are just trying to help.
And maybe show a little goddamn appreciation for so many people choosing to take time out of their life to try and get you what you’re asking for, nobody is paid to appease you here or has to respond to you, especially when you act like a dick.

We’ll manage.

Are you asking the total number across all generations, revisions, colors, sizes, limited editions, variants, and regional models?
The answer is somewhere around 202+ individual SKUs last I checked. Only Nintendo knows for sure.
I found a couple sources attempting to catalog them all, but even they probably don’t have 100% coverage as I’ve found others pointing out a handful of specific versions that weren’t listed.

Happy? Because I don’t think anyone else is ever going to give you more satisfying of an answer. Now calm down and go to bed. People here aren’t your enemy just because they don’t quite know the exact answer. Just be appreciative they’re providing what they can, that’s all anyone can expect of anyone else.
If you’re still unhappy, ask Nintendo.
why so many versions?
16 years, 4 generations, global audience, capitalism….

I never get sick of watching this guy’s brain reboot when presented with new information.

Video streaming service with 100% original content. It’s what remains of Collegehumor. The content is great, they don’t block password sharing, share profits with the cast and crew, and release a large amount of content for free on social media platforms.
They’re the only streaming service I am cool with paying for and even if you’re not a fan of all the content, they are absolutely worth the support IMO.
