NYC is the largest Zionist stronghold in the world outside of Israel he has massive power to affect that.
I don’t care about Mamdani getting treats for NYC residents if he’s going to allow NYC to continue supporting genocide. So far Mamdani has done nothing noteworthy except cancel a last-minute BDS resolution from Adams. And he condemned Hamas while allowing Zionist Synagogues to sell freshly cleansed Palestinian land to Jewish colonists.
A few videos are coming out now of firefights but still not much. It’s looking like a lot of terror cells were activated this time around. Especially a lot of organised arson attacks against public infrastructure, most notably they destroyed the fire-trucks at the start before setting more stuff on fire to prevent it from being put out. Very organised plans. A lot of starlink dishes confiscated as well. And allegedly a lot of fighting in the north from Kurdish seperatists.
It kind of looks like they pulled out all the stops for this one, so I’m a bit surprised the US and Israel cancelled followup attacks. A lot of US bases in the Middle East which can be hit with Iranian missiles are currently having their US personell evacuated. And there’s US aircraft carriers heading to Iran. So there might very well be a followup coming.
Allegedly Iran is going to limit their internet to national scale now (not sure if they can do this with infrastructure by simply blocking all non-Iranian IP’s?) but that’s still rumors. There’s still very little information coming out of what happened besides some firefight videos from Iranian media.
Thankfully Mamdani seems like he’ll be pushing for a fair amount of change.
Where? As mayor Mamdani has a lot of levers to pull and he doesn’t seem to be pulling any of them against Israel.

I think many people like to blame religion for things which have continued to happen without religion. Zionism is a great example because it is an Atheistic “religion”. Last time I’ve checked Muslims were not trying to kill me for existing and just act like normal people. Muslims have become an easy scapegoat for populists in the same fashion to how Jews were an easy scapegoat in the past. Real danger lies with those who have power and capital who love finding scapegoats to blame for problems they cause.
