Seriously, dude? Wishing testicular and breast cancer on them when bone cancer is so much worse?
I used to carry a $300 labeler in my toolbag and boy did I love wasting those labels. Especially when I found the symbols menu…
Why would they prioritize resources into something with low demand…?
I know there’s a lot of Steam haters out there but simple shit like this is why they’re on top.
If I was in his shoes, I’d want a wife, too. Farms are a shitton of work and a partnership would share the burden and improve both our lives.
There’s a cool “reality” show from the late 2000s called Victorian Farm where a group of historians move into an old farm and live like the late 1800s for a year. One of the historians is an expert on domestic life and it’s fascinating seeing what being a “housewife” was like. They work just as hard all day and if their husband is sick or hurt, they have to pick up the slack in the field.
I’ve never heard anyone refer to 3/2 beer but I used to visit my friend at the state college to party and everyone loved Icehouse (for the price, not the taste). Putting both hands up and say “FIVE FIVE” for the 5.5% ABV it offered
It might have been party volunteers here too, not sure as I was the “lowest level” of volunteer…
I think you hit the nail on the head with the amount of polling stations. Politicians of a certain party here really like voter suppression.
I’m not sure if they called it a scrutineer but I used to volunteer at elections (US) and they did the same. The counters would sit at a long table with people watching from both sides. If I remember correctly, everyone had to stay until it was done and there was a sign-in/out sheet.
I understand that there’s more people voting for federal elections but it really didn’t take that long. Polling closed at 7 and the results/physical ballots were delivered to city hall by 10
Man, even being around horses puts me on edge. I don’t get it
This is how your comments showed up on Lemmy
I can’t say if you’re technically correct as far as MLA formatting or whatever but I’ve been on the internet for 30 years and basically everyone puts the asterisk after the word they’re correcting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it the way you’re describing lol
I was indeed “barely” getting by but I’m still shocked to see 115k. I don’t even make that now and I live very comfortably
Not trying to put down your work at all! I’m just very confused by the data. Are the handful of rich cities really skewing the average that much?
When you say 60k deficit, are you saying cost of living minus minimum wage? And is the cost of living for 1 person or a family of 4?
I ask because I know for sure that the cost of living for an individual in Illinois definitely isn’t $115k unless they’re in some VERY specific areas. I’d guess it’d be closer to 60-75k even in Chicago. Don’t really need 100k unless you want to live in like, Lincoln Park or the gold coast
You’re right, it would be so much better if they were happy to be there. I would much prefer knowing that all of the soldiers are excited to suppress our constitutional right to protest. WAY better than the chance of one lashing out because they’re mad at their boss, right?
Did you mean to post 6 7 different comments?
I see you stopped reading the article there. It gets worse…
“My plan at first was to get out excessive toxins in my body. I felt like my body is intelligent, I know that to be true. Our bodies are brilliantly made,” Lewis said. “I decided to keep my tumor and try to work it out of my body a different way. . . . I wish I could go back. It’s important for me to admit where I went wrong with this.”
If your Nazi landlord put up a sign in the front yard that says “THIS RENTER GIVES MONEY TO NAZIS,” you’d probably want to end your lease, too
She’s not even involved in it
Then you have a really bizarre ranking system
