  • I liked Dilbert and the animated series myself. Considering the theme it’s truly a disappointment hearing about the creator. I like old ones for how I interpret them (back when I didn’t know his ideals) but when you know a creator’s ideals then it’s hard to enjoy them outside of that.

Like Dilbert was mostly anti corporate (or least their way of things) then the creator went hat in hands on knees to fucking Trump cause he needed help. Fuck that dude like offering Satan a blowjob. I haven’t watched recent South Park so if that’s a plot point I’d prefer not to read half of it.

  • Haha I think of that look more often than is probably needed, like an elementary school kid mocking someone. Which for the movie was great and at the time fit well for that time. Nowadays who’d ever to think of doing similar on tv? Except maybe someone without shame.

I don’t know Emo Philips at all but him just willing to do that bit and the good Christian joke flood bit that I’ve read and made me think he was cool. Like what God cares if we do one tiny bit differently? Mean maybe murder but that’s not up for debate…well a few examples stick out unless he’s a real hardass about it. Hah I’d love to defend that line if there were a pearly gates.

  • I’ve had quite a few gay friends over the years, partied, hung out and did everything you do with friends. I never understood the aversion to people based on who they prefer as a partner. It just seems so juvenile.

Part of me wonders how people that grew up during the 80s and 90s came to think that, it seemed like things were on the right track for acceptance till within say the last 10-15 years (though I may have missed a lot of indicators being straight). Now everything is so polarized and it really makes me sad not just for lost rights of my old friends but cause it’s like society is regressing in its ideals. Hate and bigotry never help things grow except for conflict and we need less of that.

  • Lol that’s exactly how I saw it as well. Recursive gets those nesting dolls look in my head, loops are the same size but repeated, even if infinite. Yes even if the code is almost the same since you can write a loop recursively anyways (okay haven’t tested but seems like it’d work mostly fine but not always as clean).

I think the beauty of it is that the joke can be amusing in multiple ways. Those are the best jokes to me, cause I can think of different ways the next time I see them.

  • I’m in the same category I wasn’t a teen when it first started and younger. The teen character who was a genius on a show where pretty much all characters had strong science backgrounds was something awesome. Mean yes his episodes weren’t usually the best ones looking back but I really liked him at the time. Now it’s not quite the same but his character focus wouldn’t be what makes me skip an episode or anything.

  • Well you just reminded me to watch more Star Wars, guess I didn’t need it. Fun that there is little debate about which original to watch csuse they’re all so much more awesome than the rest. Yes I’m that old, and the shiny interior death star scenes look so fantastic compared to late 80s tv.

  • His character was genetically engineered/altered so he knew to keep his options open. I’m sure they have many options in Star Trek. Really fits for an accepting future.

Unsure if that’s been explored in recent series the only ‘new’ one I’ve started is Strange New Worlds and it’s been (mostly) great but only a few episodes in so far. I do enjoy everything before streaming, least most episodes heh, lots of filler ones back then.

That was my first thought of a Dracula movie, it’s been so long since I saw it I had to double check it was the movie I thought it was I just remembered it was a comedy. And oh what a comedy with Brooks and Nielson, hard to ask for better Okay time to watch again.

I always liked vampire movies in general though.

  • There’ll be articles about the crime rate and all under a month I assume, isn’t that standard for any mayor let alone an anti establishment one? I barely know much about him. Just that he has good ideas he wants to implement so congrats New York on your fine mayor.

To be fair unsure your exact intent I just wanted to mention from what I’ve read the hit articles always come soon after the election. At face value I take the first part, for the second part, anyone that can become mayor of New York would be ready for that.

  • Recent update kiled IIS for my dev machine had to revert. After googling found other people same issue that morning. Wouldn’t be so bad if 1/3 our product wasn’t an iis hosted application and I’m the only developer. Emailed everyone to let them know in case customers had that issue later. Just wouldn’t go to the site, for a err_connect msg from the browser. Mean least I saw this early on my machine while testing but it took a bit to figure out what was happening cause of all things iis just not working anymore isn’t overly usual. Mean it has issues but to just stop working is different.

  • I do see what you’re saying but how I see it, and thinking of all the awful movie tie in games from NES era, ET felt better than average in theme. He had to find the phone pieces and avoid the government agents while wandering in the woods. Not too too different from the movie theme in overall thinking.

Now I’m not saying gameplay was good or anything but think of all the cheesy tie in movie games of the NES era, they’re all some random platformer which sometimes alluded to they had a movie name. Of course there were good ones but best ones I can think of were Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers, not tied to a specific movie or episode. Then you get your Back to the Future has little to do with the actual movie.
