111·6 days agoI don’t have a lot of experience with projects that use ORMs, but from what I’ve seen it’s usually not worth it. They tend to make developers lazy and create things where every query fetches half the database when they only need one or two columns from a single row.
True. Most people nowadays would panic if they accidentally opened a terminal. It’s a scary thing that hackers use on tv.
No clue tbh, I’ve been mainly using Linux for about 17 years now
Outside the quite small bubble of nerds that is Lemmy and software developers/admins in general a random person is more likely to want the movie than the terminal app.

Because to buy one I’d need a mortgage and no bank is going to give me one because I didn’t have the chance to build up a good credit rating.
