‘Android’s now better than iOS’: Instagram boss weighs in on the age-old iPhone vs. Android debate::Instagram head Adam Mosseri’s best tech “hot take”? He believes Google’s Android platform has surpassed Apple’s iOS.
It’s not a privacy push, it’s a monopoly push. Ot made it harder for third parties to collect data, but now apple is collecting it and selling ads.
Genuine question: where is apple selling ads besides the AppStore and which data are they collecting compared to meta?
On the collection part: Take a look at this video or the sources linked in the description if you’d rather read. Tl;dr: about the same things google collects. Not quite as invasive, but they’re getting there.
On selling: this article breaks it down, tl;dr is that they are focusing on their walled garden strategy by putting ads into apple apps.
