Former addict here with years of heroin use (luckily quit before fent took over) and I have to agree. I’ve only ever had fentanyl in the hospital post surgery and it was a stronger painkiller than heroin but noticeably less euphoric. But fent is so cheap to produce illicitly I can see why it took over. There is one opiate that I would place above heroin and that is oxymorphone/Numorphan. I had it after hand surgery and it was the most intense and smoothest opiate high I’ve ever had. I always wondered why there’s no black market for it while hydromorphone/dilaudid was somewhat common back in the day.

Opana was everywhere for a few years before it got reformulated shortly after OCs. Generic oxymorphone tabs still exist but good luck finding them. Too good for this world.
