My grandmother isn’t in that particular shot, but she was there. She ended the war in a captured SS hospital, and came back home a few months after VE day.
Her future husband would had just landed back in Great Britain after dropping his platoon of paratroopers when this picture would have been taken.
Based grandparents, part of the Great Crusade saving millions from Nazi rule. o7
