I love all these new “mods” (cough scabs cough) who act as if the community of the subreddit as a whole wasn’t supportive of the protest and clearly it was only the old bad mods doing everything.

Also, based on that last image, what are they going to do, ban every member of the sub and kill it that way instead?

It works out in the end, I have seen that personally in r/againsthatesubreddits . The dissenters will leave or either come back and behave. You end up having a better, obedient subreddit than a rowdy one.

Hopefully that changes in the future and the community sees that it’s better to destroy the subreddit than let it be sanitized by corporate into banal nothingness.

Now with tons of posts like:

Hey divers! Has anyone tried the new SCUBA 9000? it scubas better than anything before with modern, stylish, and very human design. I just tried it out and love it! (Totally real user and not an ad)

Yeah scuba diving is destructive to the environment. Also you should stop stealing the coral and leaving your trash everywhere.

Better obedient echo chamber, sure. If your solution to moderating a forum is banning all dissent, then you might as well just talk to a mirror.

Im not sure if you mean you’ve seen it from screenshots posted on againsthatesubreddits or that subreddit itself. Because the subreddit itself is a radioactive waste dump, that should not be approached without a lead plated hazmat suit.

I love how all anyone here on this site and this post especially knows how to do is talk a bunch of negative shit.

      Do better.

Jannies tend to be overzealous losers–especially redditors. If they left it to a vote that lasted a week, the majority wouldn’t side with them. Only terminally online, left-wing LARPers care about this kind of stuff.

The sub will be fine with a new set of jannies. Are you going to keep hand-wringing about your online revolution? That’s sad.

Except for the subreddits where they did leave it to a vote for a week or more and the majority actively did side with the mods against Reddit?

It’s more the right wing trash like you that claims the public doesn’t care when you’re actively seeing actions that the public does care.

you mean the polls that were pinned to their subreddit so they didn’t show up in normal users front page, was open for 24 hours, and linked in the admin protest discords so they could rig them? You’re an idiot if you think those were representative of the average person
