The God Valley Incident. We made it nakamas!!!
What did you think of this week’s chapter?
One Piece will be on break next week
All the players are finally here… And we get an official TL for the Knights of God! It’s an interesting cast because two are horned, but there are no horned Celestial Dragons. Does that mean Knights of God can be non-CDs?
Getting to actually see Dragon doing stuff is neat because it’s mostly been his internal dialogue. Oda said Luffy doesn’t have any internal dialogue because he’s someone who acts before he thinks, which implies Dragon to be a more thoughtful character than Luffy.
starting to feel like half the god’s knights are CDs and the other half are like the most neo-colonial imperial dogs ever
The World Government sure does love incorporating brutal monsters as part of their apparatus!
Juicy set up chapter. All the major players are in position.
Dragon quickly becoming even more of my favorite character when he shoots that CD. “What’s the point of me being here if I can’t help people”
His entire squad died presumably because he decided to fight back if I interpreted it correctly.
More gods knights, can’t wait to see their abilities and personalities.
Every time Dragon has got some spotlight he’s been based, I can’t wait until he gets to do something in the current day.
I think the implication is that Dragon’s squad was also slaughtered in the death game because it appears they have targets painted on their backs and the Marine captain asks if “they were all present?” but the official TL will probably clarify.
Did they find the One Piece yet?
Not yet, thanks for checking in!
I have never been more happy that Garp died, fuck Garp.
Garp getting impaled by his former student who became radicalized after witnessing a genocide and watching the military turn more reactionary and cruel in an island controlled by a man whose oppressors he helped protect, leading to said man’s fathers death is cathartic.
Fuck Garp ACAB
I’m pretty sure he ain’t dead yet, and also I think it’s been hinted at that the only reason (beyond his personal ideals) Garp is staying in the marines is because the 5 elders have a metaphorical gun pointed at someone close to him.
