    One is words protected by freedom of speech. The other is possible physical harm by extreme volume. Are you against freedom of speech?

      The majority of developed nations have laws against hate speech; the United States is a notable outlier in this capacity.

      I think it has been a significant contributor to our current trajectory toward fascism.

        Right now the current leadership is using “hate speech” as a way to penalize anyone vocalizing their dislike of Charlie Kirk. It’s a double edged sword.

          Cool, as long as it’s technically against the law when the Right does it (with zero consequences), then it’s worth not having all the benefits it would provide to marginalized people
