For me it’s probably Hotel Krat from Lies of P or the Hunter’s Dream from Bloodborne. I’ve spent loads of time in both and both themes are very near and dear to me. I’ve not played too much DS1 and no DS2 but both the Firelink Shrine as well as the Majula theme give me a similarly homey feel. Majula theme is just chef’s kiss.

What about you?

Not much a fan of DS2 personally, DS1 stole my heart more than any, but Majula is just so lovely. That beautiful pensive, melancholy music, the gorgeous area and view, the characters there, and how it feels more… part of the world? There’s something about the other hub areas that feel less natural to me, like they’re a separate area of sorts, but Majula feels more like a lived-in part of the world in a way. Much as I love DS1 (and BB), Majula just nails it

If I had to go for a non-soulslike hub area that’s like a second home to me, it would probably be Pokke Village from Monster Hunter Freedom 2/Unite. So many good childhood/teenage memories

I def want to retire to Majula, live between a nice kitty & blacksmith’s daughter, poop in that hole, go hollow eventually.

It’s prob the best hub out of all games, imho.

It’s the Hunters Dream for meee… And, come to think of it, I know we are “outsiders” but I’ve also gained Yharnam citizenship at this point. :P
