solid score today:

  • a Core 2 Duo desktop with enough cobwebs and dust inside to insulate a small barn. got a 19" monitor I found a week ago, gonna pair them up
  • 10+ packages of sliced bread. left twice as much, hopefully someone will get to it before the garbage trucks
  • 3x some (vegan?) pie or sumsuch, olives and peppers visible and no apparent cadaver pieces
  • 2x some vegan dip
  • half a sack of potatoes
  • coupla tomatoes
  • some fruit (1x pear, 2x tangerine) - ate it already
  • found a big tub of cottage cheese, but I don’t eat them things so left it prominently exposed

so them slices and the pies are going in the freezer overnight. then I’ll utilize this piece of tech I found the other day

to mesh up my pre-cooked garbanzo beans (fancy name for chickpeas) into hummus. those I didn’t find, but I bought them and a bottle of olive oil with the proceeds from selling two ancient graphics cards that I did find, on two separate occasions.

two cloves of garlic, pinch of salt and pepper, splash of olive oil and half a lemon (found yesterday) - et voila!

I’m supposed to add some tahini, but I ain’t got none. tastes fine as is.

so out with the bread from the freezer and let’s use this thing I found recently

took a while to clean it, inside and out, works plenty fine as is. haven’t figured out the ejection algorithm yet (lol) so I just hang about until it smells done and eject then. also eat less that way.

tried the vegan dip, tastes terrible. no wonder some threw it out, loaded with sugar (way to know your market, bozos) and tonsa transfats, like byeee… so, saute some found peppers, onions, tomatoes and…

after I finished, remembered I have my Oneplus 6T lying around, bricked. tried resurrecting it via its Windows software on a number of occasions, in a VM, W10 on bare metal macbook - no dice. so this core 2 duo being Windows 7 should work if it will work anywhere and…

success, started flashing right away! took a couple of reflashes (oxygen 9 - 10 - lineageos 22.2) to make it usable but now I’m golden. tried to flash Ubuntu Touch after Oxy 9 (Halium based so this is a must), but the UBports installer kept crapping out, so gave up.
