Sure, some aspects of the game have been changed from the original. But overall, it’s still an amazing game and mostly faithful to the original. It’s been exposed to loads of new people who didn’t have a PS3 to play the game on, it’s probably one of the best-looking games from a visual standpoint on PS5 etc.

The only gripe I have with the game is that it’s, once again, stuck on a platform that probably won’t be releasing its clutches from it anytime soon. Maybe a PC port is in the works, but I doubt it.

Apart from that, it’s still awesome though, right?

    It’s great to have a modern version of it to play. But they really missed the mark with the aesthetics, imo. It has a very different feel to the original and they arbitrarily changed a lot of details in designs that have meaningful impact on the lore and worldbuilding.

    This video that talks about it is probably a little overly-pedantic in some ways but I agree with most of what they say. I didn’t notice all of the specific stuff he mentions here, but I definitely noticed the different feel and atmosphere to the game compared to the original:
