This is just a partial list of this POS’s ban and block evasion tactics. Every two to three days, this asshole forces an instance to federate out, wasting their resources, and doesn’t give a shit who has banned or tried to block them. Then a large number from every one of these account is very heavily upvoted. Oh, that isn’t suspicious at all, especially when over 90% of what this fuckwad posts is the laziest kind of repost (just blatantly ripped from .ml in a likely automated way similar to the the account creation likely is since they will make accounts on instances less than a day old).
I am fucking tired of this shitty, bad faith action and this is proof that it is high time that an instance needs the ability to straight up perma ban a username from any instance. I am aware that PieFed has this feature and right now it seems like something so incredibly basic. One person has the power to make all of Lemmy effectively useless, and it needs to stop being that way immediately.
The way your post was making it out to seem, “forces an instance to federate out” sounded like he was doing something so egregious that he was forcing instances to be defederated, sheesh. On the bright side, you’ve Barbara Streissanded his good work.
Nah, with every account you create and use to interact with another instance, the instance that you made that account on takes on the burden of all of the data associated with it including images etc. Making alts is a dick move. If you make your own instance and are happy with it, then navigate to and post to a large community on a large instance, your instance is going to get flooded with pictr and general db stuff. Don’t make alts.
