Documentary about transgender women and drag queens who fought police harassment at Compton’s Cafeteria in San Francisco’s Tenderloin in 1966, three years before the famous riot at Stonewall Inn bar in NYC.
I streamed this on my discord last night and everyone thought it was pretty good. Figured I’d pass it along to you kind folks. It has a surprisingly positive ending for this sort of documentary. Direct Action gets the goods, as they say.
Also available on PBS if you don’t like youtube. I haven’t found anywhere I can download it from yet.

This was really good!
Yeah, they gave a lot more background than I was expecting. Packed a lot into an hour.

And I really did not expect to see the cop as an ally.
