Because this isn’t the style of H.R. Giger. Like… not at all. It’s black and white? It has… details? This is just 5 or so different “robot detective” pieces blended together and it turns into sludge.
Yep. It was not at all what I wanted or expected. And yet, I can’t deny that it looks good.
Of course as I said elsewhere, this is DALL-E 3 via Bing, which has a very mixed track record to begin with. I wasn’t that surprised I didn’t get what I wanted.
I suspect it’s because a lot of the cyberpunk out there is explicitly neo-noir. So you end up with a noir detective mixed with a robot, like Nick Valentine in Fallout, even if the tubes and cables are slightly Gigerish. Not much Inspector Gadget, because that’s primarily a cartoon.

Go try out Stable Diffusion. Much more freedom and control over your inputs and outputs.
