I assume Chess.com pulled a microsoft and reset people’s settings. I’m nearly 100% certain I disabled all reminders, email stuff, etc. In any case - I clicked the “unsubscribe” link and I was almost shocked that it just worked.
At this point I am in the habit of marking literally every single email I didn’t explicitly ask for as spam. I know this hurts the algorithm and that makes me want to do it more. Everyone should do this.
I setup something a few years ago where if I get an email containing the word ‘unsubscribe’ from an address I haven’t whitelisted or sent an email to myself it puts it immediately in spam. Gets a fair bit of false negatives as you’d expect but boy does it feel good.
I guess I’m on a 0 day streak then
For some of us a winstreak of 1 is pretty good
