And most new technologies (not the bullshit ones you mentioned) are actually not that great either.
New phones are something like 10 times as powerful as my old Nexus 4 from 2012, but their actual real life usability is virtually unchanged. There are some cool features here and there, but I barely use them.
Same is true for computers. My Haswell PC still works perfectly fine. Buying a new machine would have almost zero impact on my life.
