I don’t see the problem. One of my brothers was a cheerleader, and he wasn’t even trans. He was just playing 3D chess, figured joining an after-school activity populated mostly by girls would lead to him meeting some. And he did. He also said he got to put his hands on lots of girls, which sounds creepy AF (and did, then, too). But he was allowed to join. I’m not sure of the specifics though. I just know it wasn’t a problem when a cis/het boy joined one time, so why should it be a problem if a trans girl joins? It’s not a gendered activity and it’s not a competition. I mean there are cheer competitions, but I do not believe either gender has the advantage in cheer. The innate strength of AMABs and the the innate graceful movements of AFABs both contribute to success, and it would do a cheer team good to have both where they’re needed. Put your stronger cheerleaders on the bottom for support (and strength in throwing) and put your lighter, more graceful cheerleaders at the top. Easier to throw, easier to catch, and more elegant in the air.

AMAB and AFAB should not be used as nouns instead of descriptors (calling a trans girl “an AMAB” instead of a trans girl is basically just misgendering), nor are they any guarantee of aspects of physiology, e.g. she could be on blockers
Thanks for being gracious. As a lifelong LGBTQ+ ally who is also a lifelong student of science, I find myself torn between accuracy and political correctness/compassion. Compassion should always win, but my mind is more computational than feeling. I mean no disrespect.
That’s a plot straight out of Malcolm in the Middle. Reese wanted to get close to a girl he liked and figured that if she’s a cheerleader, he should also become a cheerleader.
