The film follows the relationship between an 11-year-old queer boy named Gugu (Yuri Gomes) and his grandmother Dilma (Teca Pereira), who is slowly experiencing the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Undeterred, Gugu lives near a dam with Dilma. His grandmother’s condition worsens, and Gugu, fearing he will have to live with his homophobic father, tries to hide what is happening from everyone. Between memories and forgetfulness, the uncertain future of both Gugu and Dilma hangs between them.
