Annoying fact: my state won’t let me get a SNU SNU license plate because it’s “derogatory.” If you know the reference, then you likely have the type of mindset that would find it funny.

Maybe they just searched the term and found “Death by Snu Snu” and decided to reject it based on that without getting the joke.

No, in the letter, they stated that it may be offensive to tall women because snu-snu means sex with unusually tall women.

        It just means sex, IMO.

Fun fact: I considered shortening “death by snu-snu” to license plate length and got DTHBYSS. Took me a minute to realize what was wrong with that.

Can you explain the joke? My English has limits apparently. I did find funny the whole situation, but didn’t see any reference. For me it may as well be death by phi phi, and still funny… The only word near to snu that I can find is snooze… Pls help!

Snu-snu is a made up word that means sex. In the episode “Amazonian Women in the Mood,” the crew goes to a planet inhabited by only super tall, muscular women who don’t often see men, and they want to have snu-snu with the men of the crew. They are dressed similarly to the woman in the original post.

The show writers used snu-snu to refer to sex without using the word sex. It’s essentially a censorship work around.
