    wait, isn’t it a huge deal if they got VRR working on AMD Linux?

    I guess this doesn’t say if it’s for HDMI or not

      It just says it’s supported in SteamOS, nothing about actually supporting it on AMD hardware over hdmi sadly.

      Can’t see anyone having tested it

      Edit: reading the changelog, they are just saying KDE Plasma was updated, and one of the features of the new version of plasma is VRR support.

          There will be the Steam Frame recovery image but with the device tree stupidity of ARM, that image will be only compatible with Frame.

          You can bet your ass people will either extract the ARM Steam client by themselves or Valve will simply release a stand alone ARM client.

            Yes, SteamOS for ARM will just be a good first step to getting it on other devices like ARM handhelds.
