I was wondering how they were going to wrap things up in one episode. Turns out they weren’t. I feel ripped off.

That said, a train hijacking arc definitely feels like a fitting conclusion to the series. Also, I’m betting Mr. Hood returns. We didn’t see a body, and this isn’t a show that hesitates to show us a body.

So the final season wasn’t actually final after all.
This show was never particularly impressive visually, but the animation in this episode was especially rough – it was very noticeable given the number of still frames. But overall, it was a decent season. I didn’t enjoy it as much as some previous ones because, for me, a big part of why Golden Kamuy is so great is the comedy, and this season got much more serious toward the end. That said, I still like it, and I hope that the Runaway Train Arc will bring us the ending this series deserves. See you in a year.

Disappointed with the second half of the episode. It’s like they just ran out of budget and want to get over with.

I hope Tanigaki doesn’t die. Sofia had a proper sendoff. The best part of the episode is the final duel between Ogata and the Russian soldier.
