Fight Club isn’t inherently incel content, but incels have a history of missing the point of media, and in this case many of them think Fight Club is an exaltation of the toxic masculinity to which they subscribe. It is not

That’s a great point. In order to be media literate you usually need to understand complex relationships between individuals and the social structures they exist in.

Interesting, in the movie the main character even admits he’s nothing but a man-boy who can only pretend he has his life together but has no clue how the world works, then goes on a rage filled terrorist plot, despite not knowing how the world works. You could say Jack is an incel, and a loser. And Tyler is who he wants to be, but in the end it’s still a movie about a bunch of fucked up losers who don’t know how shit works.

The movie literally turns incel philosophy into a person, then proceeds to kill him. It’s not exactly subtle.
