I vaguely remember win 8 coming with lots of invasive features, that were able to be disabled by a application which had such lists of registry edits needed. Also: Microsoft backports privacy-invasive features to windows 7 and 8 Many of these have effectively hidden Customer Experience Improvement config values in “help” menu of the program.
