[OC] Neighbor’s house just went up.
Not sure how long it was going before the fire department arrived, but it was maybe ten minutes between when I heard the sirens and the fire was under control.

“neighbors house just went up” -crime dad
nothing suspicious here.
Crimedad strikes again
I don’t think it’s supposed to do that.
The front burnt off.
Obviously it was built with cardboard derivatives.
I’d just like to make the point that that is not normal
Don’t ask me why, but something tells me that you were fully involved in this.
His name is Crime Dad
Just because he’s a CrimeDad doesn’t mean he’s the CrimeDad.
You know there are some crimes I don’t do.
Go in front and take a selfie with a smirk 😏
It’s an old meme but it checks out.
Damn. Is your house ok?
Yes. I’m actually at my parents’ house. The fire was three houses over. The siding on the adjacent house is all melted.

C/pics world first.
Oof, that sucks. Your neighbors ok?
Seems like no one was home.
you don’t have to put hashtags lol this isn’t Twitter
This is a Pixelfed post and that’s how those posts work. It is able to feed into Lemmy by specifying a community, where it is shared as an image link.
You can go to OP’s instance and see the difference, which is pixelfed.crimedad.work
For some reason this breaks the way my app (Voyager) identifies OP. It usually gives them a blue color to make it easier to spot OP in the comments, but here OP is not marked. Interesting.
OP is responding to comments on their Lemmy account (via lemmy.crimedad.work) so the system acknowledges them as two separate accounts. The post was opened by the Pixelfed account and they are commenting through the Lemmy account.
For now at least there is no way to link accounts in the system and flag them as the same person so that’s why that’s happening.
Ohhhh I see that now gotcha. Thank you!
Maybe this way it’s searchable on other parts of the Fediverse, like Mastodon? I have no idea actually, but maybe?
@vamp@lemmy.world Yes, the OP is actually from Pixelfed, where hashtags work and are encouraged. I wish Lemmy had hashtag functionality. It could work like flair potentially.
Well that sucks.
