I’m not so sure about the Mbin part, I’ve had it happen from my Lemmy account too. As far as I can tell, it suggests the direct link https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/yepowertrippinbastards when you type [email protected] if you accept the autosuggest.
From what I’ve seen, if you ignore it and just type/paste the link and submit the comment, it doesn’t happen.
On Lemmy it works using the autosuggest, I’m pretty confident. Which instance are you using?
fedia.io (Mbin), but I’ve seen the formatting shenanigans happen on my posts made in lemmy.world too.
I only blocked one guy and every time I see an unavailable comment and see the comments around, I remember why it was a good choice 👍
