Oh this makes me almost a bit sad. Mamma is so happy to finally have her peace after the long lost son was found. And Pappa just is like “Uhm I ne-heed some äct-shio-hon because my brain is understimulated”
Oh she doesn’t mind some adventure. There’s an absolutely hilarious arc in the 90s TV series where Mamma just up and fucks off into the wilderness because she’s the one who felt like going solo for a while.
The rest of the family implodes as they desperately try to figure out how housework is done in her absence.

Knowing this changes the perspective of course… I can imagine the chaos she’s left behind pretty well.
Maybe time to (re-)watch some of the series, but tbf I somehow prefer the books.
