I watched the first episode yesterday. I thought it was really good.

Putting further thoughts into spoilers and I would appreciate any discussion in this thread be only about the first episode.

I thought the show was going to be from the indigenous perspective, similar to Prey.

I am very curious about what happens to the girl that was stowing away in the Rowell’s wagon.

I am sad it is only 6 episodes, I typically avoid anything that short.

    I watched and enjoyed it. It does have some old timey tropes, but I think it handled the setting well, overall. It has a pretty decent blend of action and drama.

    I have been enjoying “limited” series lately. Many of them are paced somewhere between a show and a movie, which I find engaging. Additionally, the finality and lack of loose ends is preferred to starting a show that may not get renewed or ever have a wrap-up.

      I agree about the wrapped up tidiness of a limited series, however I would like something closer to 9 episodes.

      For the most part I am over movies, and enjoy a TV that is not trying to cram everything into 2 hours. And this is a nice point between that, which is exactly why I chose to give it a shot.
