Yeah, sim city games definitely had a huge influence on my musical taste. SC4 also has some idm-y tracks.
Jerry Martin - Area 52 / Bombay and The Humble Brothers - Arctica are particularly memorable with respect to more idm-y tracks.
In general the Simcity 3000, Simcity3K Unlimited and Simcity 4 + Rush Hours soundtracks are exemplary in their quality.
