Really? I xant believe any 3 year old could pull over like a 700. Does this kid actually exist?

*Edit: Fucking hell. He’s real. Anish Sarkar. He has a grandmaster coach and practices 8 hours a day. Kids going to quickly become unbeatable and burn out quicker than Bobby Fisher.

But necessarily. Laslo Polgar tried to prove he could raise chess prodigies by teaching them from very young. His daughters became great chess players, Judit even beating Kasparov on a occasion.

However they did not have a laying curve that exceeded other people spending all of their time at chess. And they grew up as quite level headed individuals.

So one can’t make a prodigy but spending much time learning something makes you better at it.

I’ve been rated between 1200-1300 for 5 years now with no indication of any upward trend despite hiring a chess coach and studying. There’s just no helping some of us!

So technically, they have a 1600 rating before celebrating their first birthday?
