Connect looks nice and is fast, but it’s really buggy too. But early days. In a month or two we should have a few more good options. Really looking forward to some great Reddit apps coming to Lemmy.
Thank you for your work! Connect is the only Android app for lemmy that works on my EMUI/Nougat phone, so I’m really grateful I stumbled upon it. Thunder, liftoff and the likes can’t connect, probably because of the old WebView version I’m using - the newer ones sadly fuck with Midori Lite :(
I’ve just installed Connect earlier today and immensely enjoy it so far! I’m looking forward to maybe some additional Themes; and don’t worry 'bout the bugs too much, I’m sure you’ve got the few main ones in your sights and will figure stuff out soon enough! :) –
Keep up the good deeds!
We’ll have a ton of high quality options soon. Lots of the Reddit app devs are working on Lemmy apps. I wouldn’t be surprised if almost all the ui code can be reused
Yeah, I really wish at least one of the major third party Reddit apps was able to launch their Lemmy version today, bit of course I understand it takes time
I’m on Connect, I hope the UI gets better, Lemmy has a lot of potential but it needs work

Connect dev here. I’m getting those bugs ironed out! I’m also a Reddit migrant and the app has only been live for about 9 days now.

Sorry, didn’t want to diss you there. This is crazy impressive for the short time frame.
All the apps are in early and rapid development and I am looking forward to what is going to happen in the months to come.
My point was only the (obviously unfair) comparison to Reddit apps that have years under their belts. But Lemmy apps will get there too.
Try wefwef (the name sucks, idk why they picked it)
https://wefwef.app/
It’s a web app that’s really clean looking and smooth. Wish they would add a top (day/week/month) sort though for postings
