It's not that Walgreens didn't modernize or couldn't compete with Amazon. The 124 year old company is being squeezed to death by monopolistic pharmacy benefit managers.
Well I don’t know what it was supposed to do, as soon as the pop up came up my browser would crash, I had to “stop” the page from loading before it came up to read the article.
Anyone else getting a pop up issue when they click that link?
Yes, it was quite brutal. Hope no one else has to deal with that just to read the article.

substackcdn.comis the offending domain, uBlock filters the pop up for me.Blocking JavaScript makes it load fine, at least.
That’s just how substack work. If you go to a substack it gives a pop up to try and get you to subscribe to the substack.

never had that happen to me, apologies. But most content from this sub is from substack so you either get used to it or don’t.
