  • If you have an old bell built into the door you can hook the old button up to anything like an esp32, and if you don’t and therefore need to put a wireless button on the door (like a battery operated ring) you can do the same with an esp32 plus a battery.

    You could probably even buy any random old wireless doorbell and make it ‘smart’ by reading the output of the speaker unit.

    On top of that, putting a camera through the peephole if available is also much easier than one would guess.

    The notion of you accepting that the lack of a plastic card registered in a database should be enough to stop anyone from operating a vehicle lol, people that dui couldn’t care less about what you feel about licensing anything

    If it is onvif compatible or similar sure, but it’s most likely not. If you’re lucky someone else have had the same camera as you and made a custom firmware for it, but I wouldn’t count on it.

    Frigate and shinobi are two alternatives to use software wise on the server, but you still need a compatible camera.
