As much as I like ragging on some Star Trek series, at least they’re not Stargate series.
Stargate had this thing where they pretended to be extremely serious but in reality they were about as serious as their spiritual predecessors Sliders and Quantum Leap.
I used to be like this. If I started drinking, my filter would start to let the 90% of alternatives I usually rejected before saying anything pass through.

It says “Someone you know is gay,” but I think it would be extremely presumptuous of me to say that I know you. It also says, “someone you love,” but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Everybody else is wrong. A meeting is for back and forth communication. If they didn’t want a meeting, they shouldn’t have scheduled a meeting. Just write a memo or something. Everybody has far too many meetings anyways, and you’re an asshole if you waste everybody’s time on extra meetings that aren’t even meetings.
I like that flatpak runs the apps in a sandbox.
For desktop use, I’m not even sure that minimal binary distros make as much of a difference as they used to. Most of the software I use tends to be flatpak, which is like the opposite of minimal binary.
I’m starting to think that whatever distro installs and updates the easiest is probably the best to use. Either that, or if you want a specialized distro, like one specializing in games, that might be the best, because games tend to be my number one headache.

Are you suggesting that one’s stupidity is determined at birth and then their stupidity can never decrease? But even with a strange definition like that, I would argue that a good education plan would keep your brain from atrophying, and so the net result would be the same as if education decreased stupidity.
You can actually also learn to be less stupid in school and it would still be called “education.”
I know that some of my teachers occasionally tried to teach us how to think critically. How to solve problems. They made me write arguments. There were debate classes that I didn’t take. They taught some philosophy in my English classes. Math had word problems.
I’d like it if all that stuff was part of the official curriculum and they had a required critical thinking course or something. But it wasn’t nothing.
I’d like to imagine that if something like this ever actually happened, the cop would start saying “fog or mist” instead.
I am sure I played this game exactly once. I didn’t pay for it, so either it was copied from a friend or downloaded from a BBS or something like that. Either way, at the time, I didn’t get it at all, and probably quickly switched it off to go play lode runner.
I think I heard recently that one of the mushrooms that is popular as a vegan meat substitute lives off of some sort of living creature like insects or something.
But realistically, it’s all the circle of life. Animal life is part of the circle. Probably all plants have consumed nutrients that came from an animal in some way.
