Btw, cool that Stephen King joined the Fediverse. I didn’t know that.

The Hacker, you know.
Wow, those pictures are good. Thanks for introducing me to this painter, OP.
Hmm, I think Istanbul is pretty great, if you don’t mind the high inflation and the insane amount of inhabitants. (16 Million!) I would actually love to live here for a year or two.
And Prague is an amazing city and very cheap to live, I can’t see why it should be worse than Berlin for example. Also Munich, while pretty great is so fucking expensive to live, it’s not even funny. And that’s already by German standards. I think Frankfurt gets a bad reputation by many Germans, it’s a pretty ok and diverse big city. Wouldn’t put in on the first place in Germany though.
All in all a pretty strange list.
This is intentional to make the US dictatorship ready. What do you think will happen if Trump gets elected?
Yes. Be concerned. Be very concerned.
Yeah, tin for bronze.
If I remember correctly, Britain had valuable resources for the empire, but probably operated at loss after all was said and done.
Also the meme is correct. The stubborn, annoying and fighting inhabitants were really unpopular among romans.
I don’t know who doesn’t know that, but in fact women often hate being stared at or checked out when they just want to swim…
I mean there is always an exception to the rule, but I wouldn’t count on it.
The standard cards are everywhere, but the German variant is still used, at least in bavaria. Just talk with some grandpas in the village restaurants and they will gleefully get their cards out.
The reflection in the middle kinda looks like Donald Trump. Scary.
Whaaaaat! I did tell the troll who called me nazi very politely that I think he’s not right in his head! 😉
Kein Freund von Israels Politik, aber auch halt der Meinung dass sie ein eigenes Land haben dürfen, in dem sie in Frieden leben können.
Gute Nacht!
Lol, sag’s doch gleich.
No worries. Lemmy is unfortunately sometimes Like Reddit. Comments get downvoted just because of opinions.
I wish you the best and really hope that people learn to live in peace and that there are consequences for evil goverments. It doesn’t look that at the moment, but you can hope.
I want to read the schachnovelle at a later point! Looking forward to it.
If you’re interested in the Mediterranean, I recommend Constantinople by Theophile Gautier. It’s about his visit to Istanbul in the 19. century. I think the print version is hard to come by in English, but the ebook is just a few cents.
I disagree with you.
It’s German. Please translate if you don’t understand it. It’s about a shouting argument between the German foreign minister and Netanyahu.
You got me. I do. I know there is a difference, but in my experience it rarely matters.
Yes. It’s a Double standard. It was born out of history. Namely the genocide on the Jews by the nationalsocialists.
Germany doesn’t have a special history with Palestine, so they don’t get mentioned.
And yes, I think Germany should recognise a Palestinian state.
Dammit!!! 😂
